Củ Chi

Củ Chi: Learn a bit of History

Củ Chi is a rural district of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. During the Vietnam War from 1967, Củ Chi Base Camp served as base for the 269th Aviation Battalion of the United States Army. It is famous for its tunnels, which were constructed during the Vietnam War, and served as headquarters for the Viet Cong.

Don’t be surprised, the story is made by Vietnamese speakers. This is really interesting to have their point of views on this battle almost 60 years after. Even if the old Vietnamese generation who fight doesn’t really like to talk about it. You will eventually know how they managed to resist and win this atrocious 20 years of combat. It’s also good to start with the visit of the War museum in Ho Chi Minh city to understand and have more information before visiting the tunnels.
